Teaching Assistant in the School of Computing and Data Science, (to commence as soon as possible for one year, with possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability).

The School of Computing and Data Science is looking for dedicated and motivated Teaching Assistants to support the academic programmes at the HKU-CDS Shanghai Teaching and Research Site in Zhangjiang Hi-Tech Park, Pudong.

Applicants should hold a Master’s degree in Engineering, a STEM-related field, or a related discipline.  Strong written and spoken English communication skills are essential.  They should be self-motivated, with strong problem-solving, communication, and organisation skills.  Candidates with experience in providing learning and teaching support in tertiary institutions will have an advantage.

The appointees will assist instructors in course preparation and administration, conduct tutorials and support laboratory sessions, grade assignments and tests, invigilate examinations, and perform other duties as assigned. 

Applicants with relevant hands-on experience in any of the following areas will be beneficial:

• Data science and machine learning
• Digital currencies, blockchain development and decentralized applications
• Large Language Models (LLMs), artificial intelligence, or embodied intelligence applications
• Data security and privacy in artificial intelligence frameworks
